Silver Report of fresh wave of COVID-19 in many countries, fears of lockdowns add to bearish sentiment to the white metal market

The silver market came under bears grip in September with CME silver prices nosediving from 8-year high made in August. The CME silver futures fell to two-month low of $21.81 per troy ounce from the monthly high of $29.23 per troy ounce, registering a d'ecline of 25%. Likewise, MCX silver prices registered a fall of 20% from the high of Rs. 69887 per kg to a month low of Rs. 56020 per kg. Better than expected economic numbers from China and to certain extent from the United States weighed on the silver prices.
