This sturdy and rigid hardcover, like its precursor SP-13, is a joy to hold and handle, even though it weighs in at 2330g (5.13 pounds!). But that is what it took to publish this magnum opus on Mont Saint-Hilaire (=MSH), one of the most prolific mineral localities in the world. The book has the subtitle History, Geology, Mineralogy. These topics are covered in the book on pages 13-28, 31-58 and 61-534. After that, an extended bibliography (537-588), a general index and 10 appendices make up the remainder of the book. The last two pages (633-634) are about the authors.
