Herein, we reported the synthesis of cerium orthovanadate nanorods (CeVO4-NRs) using the hydrothermal methodology and its excellent performance towards the detection of anti-prostate cancer drug flutamide (FLA) sensing in biological samples. The size and structural properties of the as-prepared CeVO4-NRs was characterized through the FESEM and HRTEM. Moreover, the optical properties and chemical composition of the CeVO4-NRs was configured by the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Vis spectrophotometer, XRD and Raman spectroscopy. The electrocatalytic activity of CeVO4-NRs towards the detection of FLA was scrutinized through cyclic voltammetry (CV) and DPV techniques. Besides, the fabricated sensor possessed the covering range of 0.01to 57 mu M and 75.26 to 507.94 mu M with a lower detection limit of 1.94 nM. At the end, the FLA detection in real samples of human blood serum and urine samples at CeVO4-NRs/GCE exhibited acceptable found and recovery values.
