In their two Lithops books Professor D Cole and Naureen stated that Ed Storms in 1977 found Green ones amongst his plants from CO 15 seed. One survived but mysteriously disappeared. For many years this was the end of 'Greenhorn'. Collectors all over the world tried to get their L.lesliei 'Albinica' to look like 'Greenhorn', and some even claimed yellow and white flowers. They gave unclear and vague answers when questioned about the origin of their "bright green 'Greenhorn' plants."
