Specific oral tolerance induction (SOTI) is a new approach recently proposed for children affected by persistent food allergies.1 It consists of administering orally the offending food, starting with very low dosages and increasing slightly to achieve the ingestion of the usual daily intake. Many questions are being asked about this treatment, including whether it is safe. We report a possible complication during SOTI for wheat.
