3 Fisher's Framework

A seminal work in supply chain strategy is Professor Marshall Fisher's (1997) article in Harvard Business Review. According to Google Scholar, this article had been cited 4140 times by the end of 2016. The framework introduced in this article triggered a large number of further studies by both researchers and practitioners, and created a broad domain of knowledge on supply chain management.
