FROM YOUR PRESIDENT

Greetings to our IAFP family around the world. I hope you are as excited about our upcoming scientific meetings as I am. The Program Committees for the IAFP 2018 in Salt Lake City (July 8-11) and the IAFP European Symposium in Stockholm (25-27 April) are busy reviewing abstracts and making decisions related to the symposia, technical presentations, roundtables and workshops that will be presented at those venues. As mentioned in previous columns, members of the Program Committee invest a great deal of time and effort over the course of a year to develop and schedule a program that includes a diverse and balanced meeting with the latest scientific information related to food safety policies and solutions. Please take the time to thank a Program Committee member in Salt Lake City or Stockholm for their hard work. Having served for three years on the Program Committee in the past, I know from experience that the work is long and time-consuming, but also highly rewarding.
