Fertilizer prices continue to climb: Spain

The fertilizer market has moved into a quiet phase, with limited activity now on the application front and focused in the urea and UAN sectors. There is very little interest reported for urea, except for some late season demand from farmers in the north for application on corn and some limited use in irrigated areas. Urea is not normally applied again before late November, although importers often move to book pre-season tonnage in July/August when prices tend to be low. However, this interest is lacking at present, with international prices relatively high and remaining firm.
