The US Department of Commerce postponed preliminary determinations for its anti-dumping investigations concerning imports of seamless carbon and alloy steel standard pipe from Russia, South Korea and Ukraine. The preliminary determinations, which were due no later than Dec. 15, have been postponed following a request from a petitioner, Commerce said. As a result, the preliminary anti-dumping decisions are now due no later than Feb. 3. After a five-year sunset review, the International Trade Commission determined that revoking existing antidumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of oil country tubular goods from China would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US market, As a result of the ITC's affirmative decision, existing US orders on Chinese OCTG will remain in place.
