Six busy months after its spin-off from the Marangoni group,off-road-tire machinery supplier Marangoni Meccanica is back on track,according to new CEO Riccardo Mastronardi,previously of management consulting firm McKinsey and Italian scooter brand Piaggio.This marks a rapid recovery for the Rovereto,Italy-based company,which had faced an uncertain future for much of 2019-before the spinoff and a €10-million recapitalisation from new financial backers-Finan-ziaria Trentina,Alpenring,and local family business Caran."We are a project company,[meeting] specific customer needs from the first phase of engineering to the production stage."Mastronardi told ERj in a 25 Feb interview at the recent Tire Tech show.Reviewing Marangoni Meccancia's previous financial problems,the CEO explained that major tire-machine projects can last two or even three years and cost up to €40 million before installation by the customer.
