Top Chinese tire makers examine the risks and opportunities ahead

Executives at five of China's largest tire makers-Sailun,Dou-blestar,Zhongce,Double Coin and Aeolus-separately laid out the sector's risks and opportunities at China Rubber Conference 2020.During the event,streamed online from Beijing on 11 June,Sailun chairman Yuan Zhongxue called the hardships-the coronavirus pandemic,Sino-American conflicts and anti-dumping tariffs-the"three big mountains"on the back of China's tire sector.Explained Yuan:"Viruses do not stop evolving,just like humans,and will pose perpetual threats to mankind."Sino-American conflicts will be long-lasting as well,given the political,cultural,social and economic discrepancies between the two world powers."
