On March 11th, 2021, the Italian food industry, supervisory bodies and judicial system entered a phase of turmoil, as D.L.vo 27/2021 was published in the Official Journal. D.L.vo 27/21 is one of four decrees issued by the Conte government to implementthe official controls Regulation (UE) 625/2017 in Italy's legal sys-tem.
