摘要

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological disorder leading to both physical and cognitive disability in young adults. These limitations harshly impact the overall subject's habits and are predictive of poor social integration, resulting in reduced working activity and a limited social network. To this point, among the cognitive domains that could be impaired in MS, social cognition (SC) can have a direct impact on this outcome, due to its involvement in social interactions. It refers to the mental operations underlying social interactions, including empathy, social perception of emotions through prosody, facial expressions, body language and theory of mind.
