Energy policy is top of the agenda this year, with a new climate friendly administration in the US, and countries around the world preparing new policies to bring to the UN COP26 climate talks in November. The increasing focus on cutting emissions will have a big impact for oil and gas producers, both directly, in terms of targeted measures, and indirectly, as an acceleration of low-carbon energy uptake eats into demand for hydrocarbons.
