Realizing remote operations in the North Sea

IIoT is a game changer for onshore monitoring and management of platforms. The North Sea is irreplaceable for Europe as a supplier of oil and gas; more than half the natural gas and a quarter of the oil consumed today in the EU come from the region. A host of factors are adding costs, reducing revenues and creating new risk management issues for oil and gas companies in the North Sea. Adding to those concerns is greatly heightened regulatory oversight and public scrutiny of environmental and safety risk. This situation demands an evolved perspective on offshore operating strategies.
