Structure optimisation of coat-hanger die based on the multi-objective and design of experiment analysis

摘要

In this paper, a multi-objective analysis based on the numerical simulation of the polymer flow is proposed to optimise the geometry and process parameters. The design of experiment (DOE) is adapted to generate enough data for building a numerical model for structural optimisation. The minimum deformation of the sector, minimum pressure drop and minimum coefficient of variation of the outlet velocity are three optimal objectives. From model variance analysis, sector height is the most influencing design parameter on the sector deformation and pressure drop and the sector length is the most influencing design parameter on coefficient of variation of outlet velocity. An objective weighted genetic algorithm is used to find the global optimal solution for multi-objective optimisation based on DOE variable space. Compared with the original structure, three optimal objectives of the optimised structure have been improved largely.
