摘要

In computer-aided engineering systems, an automatic mesh generation method is expected to be effective, because it omits time-consuming mesh generation processes. This paper presents improvements in the accuracy of two mesh generation methods. One is a new meshless element method, which is simple, accurate, and suitable for parallel computation. After arranging the nodes in the domain under analysis, a few temporary triangular elements are created around each node. The contributions from these elements are assembled to form a total stiffness matrix. The other method achieves high accuracy without modifying the original meshless method. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new meshless method, a heat transfer analysis was performed on a ladle apparatus containing casting solutions.
