摘要

Polar code was selected as the channel coding scheme for control channels in the standardization of the 5th generation (5G) wireless system of a 3rd generation cooperation project (3GPP). It is near-capacity code having low encoding and decoding complexity. The code uses polarization for achieving Shannon limits. In this paper, we present the research results on frame error rate performance of polar code that is designed for High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) based communication systems over a two-state switched channel model.
