Ryobi secures massive hybrid auto contract

Northern Ireland-based Ryobi Aluminium Casting (UK) Ltd has secured a significant new multi-million-pound contract with an emerging transmission supplier specialising in electrified drivetrains for the automotive market. The Carrickfergus manufacturer says the deal – secured on the basis of technical and production capabilities, and assured product quality and delivery – is worth around ￡15m annually, to produce 150,000 clutch and transmission cases per year, for use in new hybrid vehicles from 2023.
