This year's Classic Heritage Beef Show was hot in every sense of the word.It was "probably the best one ever, we had 262 entries," organizer Bob Best told Atlantic Beef& Sheep. "I hope to get a couple of outfits from Quebec (in) next year. That's what I'm working on now."Not only were the high quality cattle in the Windsor, Nova Scotia, show ring hot on Sept. 22 and 23, so was the temperature. "Hot?" Best said. "It was brutal hot! Nothing we can do about the heat. Next year we'll be complaining about the cold," he predicted.Maritime beef producers did not make it easy forjudge Riley Lefrentz of the Wheatland Cattle Co. in Bienfait, Saskatchewan. Large classes had between 17 to 24 entries.
