India’s latest city gas licensing round is facing further delays and may be launched only later this year, with the Covid-19 pandemic also holding up construction of city gas distribution (CGD) networks awarded in previous rounds. These delays, coupled with rising domestic output of natural gas, will slow the growth of de- mand for imported LNG.
