lNG exports hold above 7mn t in April

Australia’s LNG exports in April rose to their third-highest monthly level, only the second time they have held above 7mn t for two consecutive months. Australia shipped 7.11mn t of LNG in April, down by 1.3pc from March, which was revised down from the original estimate of a record 7.28mn t. The revision to March means that the 7.22mn t shipped in January 2020 still remains the high- est monthly level, according to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) processed by GTT. The April exports were 1.8pc above shipments a year earlier.
