Shell sees LNG sales rise, expects demand growth

Shell's sales of LNG by volume were up by nearly 50pc on the year in 2016, and the company expects demand for LNG to continue growing. Shell projects global demand for gas to outstrip any growth in oil consumption. "Global gas demand is going to grow twice as fast [as global oil demand]. Within that gas demand growth, we see LNG demand grow twice as fast again," chief executive Ben van Beurden says.
