The company decided to move away from antibiotics and AGPs when it moved into retail, with its stores promising fresh and 'healthy' meat."We wanted to produce a quality product that was safe for the customer. Our promise was no hormones, no steroids, no antibiotics. So we went back to the drawing board and thought about how could we produce meat free of antibiotics," said Narendra Pasuparthy, who founded Nandu's Chicken with Naveen Pasuparthy.The pair ordered their engineering team and integrators to rethink the production process in order to achieve their goal. Eight months later, production got off to a shaky start.
