Pipeline crude supplies to novopolotsk may halt

Russian pipeline crude supplies to Belarus’ 240,000 b/d Novopolotsk refnery may halt this month, after a dramatic reduction in May, in response to US sanctions. Producers have requested June pipeline crude allocations to Belarus only for the country’s 323,000 b/d Mozyr refnery, Transneft vice-president Sergei An- dronov said on 1 June. Russian crude suppliers are worried that continuing direct sales to the Novopolotsk plant could expose them to secondary sanctions.
