Glavgosekspertiza approves PNT phase one upgrade

Russian federal engineering regulator Glavgosekspertiza has approved plans for phase one of a proposed upgrade at the 12.5mn t/yr PNT oil terminal at St Petersburg’s Bolshoi port. The frst phase covers construction of storage tanks, a double-sided rail rack, vapour recovery units and other facilities in a disused area of the termi- nal. The products tank farm will have a combined capacity of 53,000m~3 — in 10 vertical steel tanks of 3,000-10,000m~3, using modern tank-in-tank technology. The tanks will be used for diesel and possibly alkylates, PNT chairman Mikhail Skigin told Argus in November.
