Ventspils terminals to be heated by gas

Little-known Riga-based firm Ventstone Complex plans to begin building an LNG terminal and a 58.5MW combined heat and power (CHP) plant at Latvia's port of Ventspils in 2019. The complex should start importing gas and generating heat and power for terminals at the port by 2023. The terminal will have an import capacity of 140,000 m~3/yr of LNG (82mn m~3/yr of natural gas), as well as two 20,000m~3 LNG storage tanks near berth 36 and a pipeline system.
