Higher electricity tariffs to put additional pressure on Omani steel mills

New electricity tariffs in Oman are expected to put a significant pressure on power intensive industries, including the steel production.The government of Oman decided to increase the electricity tariffs of large power consumers; the new rates will become effective from January 1, 2017.
