Algerian Qatari Steel to serve construction sector in 2018

Algeria is set to achieve self-sufficiency in construction steel by 2018 owing to commissioning of Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) complex. The situation will strengthen the steel sector in the country and will consequently reduce its dependence on import. Bellara steel complex located in Jijel and developed under the authority of AQS will definitively enter the first phase of production in May, 2018, Algeria Press Service reports.
