Oman's Muscat Steel to expand rebar market share in March 2016

Muscat Steel, an Omani company producing long steel, intends to expand its capacities and presence in the market, despite a persisting downward trend in oil prices that resulted in slower implementation of construction projects in the country. The company plans to launch a new re-bar mill with projected capacity of 180,000 tpy in March 2016, which will help it double its production potential in the finished steel segment to 360,000 t.
