The European industrial wood chip spot index held flat for the second consecutive week to close at €5.95/GJ on a cif northwest Europe (NWE) basis on Wednesday, as summer buying interest wavered. Buying interest for the summer decreased again in the week, as more wood chip-fired capacity was taken off line for summer maintenance.
