Switzerland‘s premium retail wood pellet price rose for the seventh consecutive month in February,when prices typically peak,following a continued increase in heating demand,data from the Swiss Federal Statistical Office show.The average price of premium-grade wood pellets rose by 0.7pc on the month to 356.05 Swiss francs/t($384.81/t).The rise was in line with typical seasonal buying patterns.But prices were still down by 3.4pc on the year,as plentiful supply remained across much of Europe‘s residential wood pellet market.
