The price for Indonesia palm kernel shells (PKS) declined in the week to Wednesday, as Japanese buyers continued to seek more competitively priced Malaysian PKS cargoes. The spot price for Indonesian PKS loading in the next 90- days declined by $1.23/t on the week to $101.36/t fob east coast Sumatra. Indonesian PKS suppliers saw less spot demand from Japan over the week, as Japanese buyers had a more competitive price option in Malaysia. Spot PKS offers on a fob Malaysia basis were heard around the low-$90s/t this week.
