UK must offer annual CFDs for renewables: Energy UK

UK political parties should commit to holding allocation rounds for contract for difference (CFD) subsidies for low- carbon infrastructure projects on an annual basis in their general election manifestos, industry association Energy UK said. Parties should also pledge to prioritise ensuring the continued trade of power and gas with continental Europe in negotiations with the EU over the UK's exit from the bloc, it said.
