Estonian timber prices reach six-year high in 1H18

Raw material prices for biomass from state-owned forests in Estonia have risen to a six-year high, data from Estonian state forestry association RMK show. Fuelwood prices were at an average of €9.63/t on an ex-works basis in January-June this year, up by 17pc from a year earlier and the highest half-year average price since 2012. The May price rose as high as €9.91/t, the highest monthly price since March 2012.
