The UK’s third contract for difference (CFD) power auction will take place in May 2019, with additional auctions planned every two years from 2021 onwards, the government said. Up to ￡557mn ($730mn) of annual support will be made available to "less established" - pot 2 - renewable technologies in the next CFD round. This is unchanged from the previous funding guidance.
