South Korea’s January-March pellet imports rise

South Korea's wood pellet imports rose during January-March compared with a year earlier, supported by an increase in dedicated biomass power generation capacity. South Korea imported 816,000t of wood pellets in the first quarter, up by 21pc from the same period last year, according to customs data. The country imported 279,000t of wood pellets in March, a 17pc increase from a year earlier and up by 11pc on the previous month.
