South Korean state-owned utility Korea Western Power (Kowepo) is seeking biomass supplies for co-fi ring at its 4GW Taean thermal power plant. The utility invited bids for 35,000t of wood pellets or woody biomass solid recovered fuel pellets for delivery to the Taean facility over 21 September-31 December. Kowepo is seeking delivery of 400-650 t/d by container trucks to designated locations in Taean within the nearly three-month period. The minimum bid amount is 5,000t on a delivered duty paid basis to the plant.
