Waterborne markets steadied across the US Atlantic coast as weaker transatlantic arbitrage opportunities halted further price declines. New waterborne trades were reported around $255/st exrefinery, leaving the $250-260/st FOB New Jersey range intact. Asphalt tankers arriving from the Mediterranean tapered off as delivered prices have risen for new cargoes and domestic US prices eased, reducing the amount available for import. The most recent cargoes booked from Europe were heard being diverted south to Latin America amid the weaker arbitrage economics.
