Shell Nigeria onshore retreat continues

The foreign joint venture partners continued their retreat from onshore Nigeria and finally concluded the sale of Shell operated acreage, one of Nigeria's largest onshore blocks, for a total of US $800m. Heirs Holdings owned Trans Niger Oil & Gas Ltd has been in discussions since 2018 to take over the whole of the 45% joint venture interest in OML 17 and the Trans Niger pipeline which takes crude to the Bonny Terminal.
