Sasol sale continues with Mozambique plant

Sasol's asset sell down continues with the company accepting a US $145m offer for its shareholding in a Mozambique gas-to-power plant although it has yet to close a deal for a gas pipeline. The sale of its 49% shareholding in the Central Termica de Ressano Garcia plant, to Azura Power is part of an accelerated disposal programme to pay down debt. The company has already sold its interest in the producing Etame field off Gabon to operator VAALCO and in the Escravos GTL plant in Nigeria to Chevron.
