The battle for control at troubled Nigerian specialist Lekoil is now fully out in the open with founder and chief executive Lekan Akinyanmi being sacked"due to a corporate governance breach"from the parent company but the Nigerian subsidiary quickly saying he remains in power there.There have long been rumblings about the running of the company and the size of Akinyanmi's salary.Major shareholders decided enough was enough in January and revolted and three new board members were appointed.
