摘要

Nigeria’s NNPC is negotiating alternative commercial contract terms with operators - outside of the terms in the petroleum industry bill (PIB)-in a move that it hopes will keep upstream investment fowing at a time of limited global capex and a wealth of investment opportunities. Mele Kyari, group managing director of the NNPC, said in an interview that new commercial terms were being negotiated and would be fnalised before the PIB is passed. Kyari said companies would have the option of adopting the newly negotiated commercial terms or moving to the updated terms outlined under the new law.
