摘要

The fedgling upstream off The Gambia took a major hit as BP paid nearly US $30m so as not to drill a commitment well due by last month - leaving only one more wildcat certain in the country’s future. The UK major re-entered the state’s upstream in 2019 after a three decade absence when it took over Block A1 - showing its keenness for the country as at the time A1 was in dispute between the government and African Petroleum.
