Sound buys Schlumberger out of Morocco LNG

Sound Energy is buying Schlumberger out of its gas discovery and planned micro-LNG project in Morocco.The UK firm operates the 615 Bcf Tendrara discovery in eastern Morocco and had been planning a 66 MMcf/d development with a consortium of Enagas/Elecnor/Fomento looking to finance a central processing facility and 120km gas export pipeline.Sound then decided to prioritise early cash flow and make this phase two and has been working on the micro LNG project.It has signed a letter of exclusivity with contractor Italfluid Geoenergy which will design,construct,commission,operate and maintain the plant.
