FAR gets new Gambia wildcat date and mulls G Bissau marginal

FAR now expects to drill its wildcat off The Gambia at the end of October while its partnership is reviewing developing a marginal feld off Guinea Bissau. The company fnds itself with around US $128m in cash and no debt after selling its interest in the Sangomar acreage off Senegal to Woodside and is looking for new assets. In the meantime the Stena IceMax will arrive for the 30 day $52m well on the Bambo prospect in Block A2 off The Gam- bia in October. It is planned to drill to a depth of 10,715ft (3,266m) in a water depth of 3,260ft (993m). It is a mere 1,640ft (500m) south of the Senegal-Gambia border.
