Rig ready for Petronas Gabon deep wildcat

The drillship will arrive within weeks to spud Petronas’ deep- water wildcat off Gabon – the frst off the country for three years – and potentially the last if it is not successful. The Maersk Viking will drill an exploration well in Block F13 in a water depth of 6,890ft (2,100m) starting in September with drilling expected to be completed by November.
