Golar said it is seeing heightened interest from potential FLNG customers because of higher gas prices for both its existing vessels and larger ones being designed. The company has the 2.4m tpa Hilli Episeyo working for Perenco off Cameroon and is building the 2.5m tpa Gimi for BP for work off Senegal and Mauritania. Activity has been sparse aside from this but the company said last week it has seen increased interest from FLNG cus-tomers because of higher gas prices and that “nine projects are in active discussions across our existing proven Mark I design (similar to Hilli and Gimi) as well as our new build Mark III FLNG solution Future FLNG opportunities.”
