BW drilling new shallow Gabon exploration well

BW Energy is drilling ahead on a new exploration well off Gabon. The Borr Norve jack-up is drilling the Hibiscus North well on the shallow water Dussafu block, targeting 10m to 40m bbl of re- coverable oil in the Gamba formation. The well is approximately 6km from the Hibiscus discovery well in 375ft (115m) of water. It is a geological analogue to the existing Ruche feld rather than to the Hibiscus Extension where a recent well failed to add to the 46m bbl of existing reserves.
