LME copper price hits new record high, SHFE trades limit down

The LME 3-month copper price hit $8,966/t onThursday 11th November which is a new recordhigh, and closed at $8,830/t. It is the market'sunderstanding that the surge in the copper pricewas mainly driven by strong Chinese Octobereconomy data. Moreover, the continued decline inLME copper inventories also supported copperprices moving higher.
